Restaurant Banqueting Supervisor

At The Dunloe Hotel & Gardens we are currently recruiting for a Restaurant Banqueting Supervisor. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a team of professionals in a warm, opulent space where we offer our guests the best of Irish hospitality. At The Dunloe we are proud of our team and the service we offer our guests at leisure, along with the many bespoke weddings we host each season. 

We are currently looking for a supervisor to assist the Restaurant Manager in directing and organizing the restaurant staff making sure that all guests have a flawless experience.

Duties:

• Be courteous and focused on providing a consistently high standard of service
• Must be a team player with the ability to multi task
• To anticipate guest’s wants and needs
• To have strong product knowledge of all dishes and beverages served
• To abide by a flexible work schedule
• Effective communication with kitchen and other departments
• Must be able to act as a self-starter and clearly understand the work priorities
• Responsible for training and supervising staff
• Planning daily activities that occur within the Restaurant
• Dealing with customer complaints and queries in an efficient manner and ensuring guest satisfaction at all times
• Corresponding with customers regarding bookings and events, via telephone and email
• Keeping detailed notes of customer requests and wishes
• Assisting food & beverage associates with daily activites in the restaurant, ie order taking, using electronic POS system, issuing bills, cash handling, checking on customers satisfaction, etc

Requirements: 

• Previous experience as a food and beverage supervisor or restaurant supervisor within the 5* luxury market perferrable 
• Attention to detail and a strong desire to exceed all our guests' expectations is essential 
• Excellent personal presentation
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Excellent communications skills both oral and written
• Excellent administration and organisational skills both oral and written 
• Experience with Hotel Software and Computer proficient
• Ability to work as part of a team and ability to lead a team 
• Must be fluent in English language, both oral and written
