Front Desk Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Front Desk Manager to expand our Front Office Department at The Europe Hotel & Resort. Duties:

• Supervising and assisting the Reception team in carrying out their daily duties
• Providing leadership and guidance from within the team under the direction of the Front Office Manager.
• Providing and supervising the provision of the highest level of customer service to all hotel guests & potential customers
• Supervising & maintaining standards in relation guest communications from within the front office department, including telephone calls, emails and all other correspondence
• Assisting in the training of new team members
• Ensuring that all procedures and standards are being implemented and adhered to as directed by the Front Office Manager
• Dealing with Opera related issues and other technical problems.
• Dealing with procedural queries from the reception team and general problem solving.
• Anticipating departmental needs to ensure preparedness for shift and daily duties
• Providing motivation and feedback to the reception team.
• Liaising with the Front Office Manager and/or the Manager on Duty to deal with customer complaints
• Liaising and communicating with other departments
• Dealing with & handling queries in relation to procedural issues within the front office department.
• Handling of cash, credit card payments and general cashiering duties as well as resolving queries in relation to payment issues.  
• Ensuring that all scheduled tasks are completed correctly and on time.
• Developing a strong working relationship with colleagues 
• Acting as a team player with the ability to multi task
• Assisting the Front Office Manger

Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of OPERA is essential, OPERA Cloud is an advantage 
• Previous experience in a similar role in a 4 or 5 star hotel is essential
• Qualifications in Hospitality preferable
• Strong leadership skills essential
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and operating systems essential
• Able to work flexible hours
• Focused on providing a high standard of service
• Attention to detail is a must
• Interdepartmental communications required
• Dedicated to progressing within the 5 star market
• Ability to stand during entire shift
• Impeccable professional image is key
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Fluency of the English language, both verbal and written, is essential
